It all started when…

Rooted in a M.Sc. in Mechanical engineering and early research in control theory, the founders first optimization projects were in the domain of relational databases, applying the theory of Chris Date - converting existing SQL code into mathematical expressions, reducing those expressions and transforming the result back into SQL code, now with 10 or 100 times faster execution. Over time, the scope increased from database performance to application performance and infrastructure performance. Typical problems had been passed around between different departments for months until they were identified in days by the external consultant. The next steps were starting several software companies in order to develop software which could identify the root causes of performance issues in hours or minutes instead of days. When this became too boring, he moved into improving personal efficiency by aligning employees purpose with the company purpose and finally into improving not only parts of a company but the entire bottom line, by doubling the yield of vertical farms and inventing new ways to make the internal processes more efficient based on the latest sensor technology. After applying the same problem solving methodology in so many different areas, it was clear that it was universally applicable, so the logical next step was to combine the existing internal subject matter expertise with the external consultants methodology in order to get the fastest results.
